Actually everything was excellent, my next choice again in Hook Norton. Had 1 night in Hook Norton, spending my time here lovely. There was really helpful staff and the service was excellent. Stayed in beautifully presented and well-appointed double room with good bathroom. Quiet location in garden at the rear was a plus. What's more, it was right by the brewery which serves breakfast too, the pub in the evenings, and special attraction and good walks.

Extremely clean and scenic location, but the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty.

The spacious family room offered enough space for everyone to kick back, and the charming garden atmosphere provided a lovely backdrop for relaxation. The historic decor added character that's hard to find in your average spot.

Noise from the bar was a constant issue. I could hear revelers singing and shouting until the early hours, made sleeping a challenge. The lack of dedicated on-site parking became frustrating, especially late in the day when finding a spot turned into a small adventure. I was disappointed to find no meal options available late, pushing me to seek food elsewhere that didn't quite make the cut.

The family room was spacious with a king-size bed, perfect for us. The cozy bar had a great selection of local beers, and we enjoyed relaxing after our day out. Free parking was a notable perk!

The atmosphere in the pub was inviting and cozy. A bottle of Old Hooky waiting in our room was a good touch.

The cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better.

Charming stay with a cozy vibe

The cute atmosphere was palpable, especially while enjoying local ales in the picturesque beer garden. Although the inn doesn't serve food on-site, we loved exploring nearby dining options.

The stay was a lovely experience, particularly enjoyed the spacious family room which accommodated us comfortably. The highlight was definitely the cozy bar with its selection of local beers, perfect for winding down after exploring the beautiful surroundings. It was also great to have easy access to a wonderful breakfast spot just a short walk away.

The double room offered a decent layout and unique charm you'd expect from an inn. The coffee-making facilities were a nice touch.

Noise from the pub was a significant issue, especially if your room is directly above the bar. Conversations can be heard as if they're happening right next to you. On one of the nights, the bar had a lock-in, and we were treated to a late-night soundtrack that went on till early morning. The absence of a mirror in the main bedroom is a bit inconvenient, forcing you to navigate the space awkwardly to get ready. The mattress leans on the softer side, which might not sit well with everyone. Not being able to grab a bite or breakfast on-site could be a downside for those expecting standard pub fare or morning fuel.

Comfy room, spacious bathroom, with a lovely big bed and easy access to hiking trails nearby.

There was nothing I didn't like.

We enjoyed exploring the beautiful Broughton Castle and Feldon Valley Golf Course. The inn had a cozy bar, and we also tried cycling nearby. Just a heads up that a mirror near a plug for hair drying and hooks in the bathroom would have been nice.

The pillow in our room wasn't comfortable, a bit hard to sleep.

Super clean rooms with free Hook Norton Ale. It gets pretty noisy from the bar at night.

Absolutely fell in love with the picturesque setting and friendly faces! 🌷 Just beware of noise if you're above the bar. I struggled to sleep with music echoing late into the night.
